Since the recent Diaper Drive began on Mother’s Day, Project Hope has seen a significant increase in donations. Thanks to all the individuals, groups, and parishes who contributed, including: Holy Name, Birmingham; St. Edith Parish, Livonia; and Our Lady, Star of the Sea Parish, Grosse Pointe Woods.
Charlotte Webster, Project Hope Program Manager, said, “So far we have received about 100 packs of diapers, about 40 packages of wipes, almost 50 containers of baby food, and many gently used baby clothes.” These donations equate to about a month’s supply to serve Project Hope clients.
But the need for donations continues. “Because Project Hope provides basic necessities to needy moms and their newborns and infants, our need is continually high,” Webster said.
