Maria Ramar joined CCSEM in November of 2018 as a Physician Assistant with a specialty in providing psychiatric services. Ms. Ramar earned her Bachelor in Psychology degree from Wayne State University in 2015. She then completed a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Toledo in 2017. Maria is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and currently holds both a Physician Assistant license and a DEA license. Ms. Ramar sees child, adolescent and adult clients from Royal Oak, Waterford, Lake Orion, Clinton Township and Lapeer, working out of the Royal Oak, Waterford and Clinton Township offices. Her experience includes current work with New Hope Network, previous work with the Pain Clinic of Michigan, work as a physical therapy aide, and work as a caregiver. In addition, Maria has worked various Physician Assistant rotations in behavioral medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatric medicine, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, and urology. She has held leadership positions with the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Community of Scholars, and has received the Physician Assistant Clinical Research Award in 2017 and the Merit Scholarship in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. She also volunteers her time at the South Oakland shelter through St. Regis Parish. She is fluent in Arabic. Maria looks forward to seeing you soon!!
