Kirsti Reeve

Kirsti Reeve trained and worked as a speech pathologist and researcher in England and in Michigan before obtaining her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Oakland University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). Kirsti has been a therapist with Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan since 2009. Her areas of expertise include working with children and adolescents, self-injury, eating disorders, childhood abuse and trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. She also provides counseling from a spiritual, Christian, or Catholic perspective as desired. Her philosophy uses an integrative approach drawing from psychodynamic, solution-focused, cognitive therapy and motivational interviewing theories in order to best help each client. Kirsti tailors her work to meet each person’s individual needs and goals. She believes in a strength-based perspective that builds on the tools, support and positive factors that have helped clients in their lives thus far, and that takes an integrative approach that considers them as a whole person: mind, emotions, body and spirit.
