Department: AmeriCorps Senior Volunteer Programs
Location: Southfield - Oakland County
Position Type: Part-time
Rate of Pay: $16-17 per hour
Availability: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Days/Hours Worked: This is a part-time hourly position averaging 20-28 hours per week - times worked are flexible within normal business hours
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Services related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience Requirements: Two or more years of experience working in a senior services or volunteer management preferred. Or, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Special Requirements: This job operates in a professional office environment and includes approximately 25% travel within Oakland County.
We seek an individual to work as a coordinator for our Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) in Oakland County. The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for working with older adults.
The FGP coordinator will work with leadership to recruit and support volunteers. The ideal candidate will be a “people person” who appreciates older adults' wisdom and life experiences. The candidate must be highly organized, competent with technology, and able to learn the requirements and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing monthly reports, site visits, and accurately and efficiently entering data. The ideal candidate will be someone who is driven to serve the community!
