Archbishop Kicks Off Lent at All Saints

 

Archbishop Allen Vigneron began the season of Lent this year volunteering at the All Saints Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry in southwest Detroit. On Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2018, the Archbishop helped patrons fill their bags with food for the month, and since it was “Fat Tuesday”, he brought paczkis to share with the volunteers and guests.

He also took time to talk with representatives of the local media. (See links to some of the coverage below.)

We were thrilled to host an incredible seminar on Adoption and Foster Care last night St. Kieran Catholic Church Shelby Twp., Mi 🙌 Dozens of attendees joined us and enjoyed learning more about Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan - Adoption & Foster Care Program child adoption and foster care programs as the process of becoming foster care or adoptive parents. It was an evening filled with inspiration and hope! Thanks to the Respect Life Office for sponsoring this event, and a special thank you to our Foster Care Supervisors Michele Karrick and Russ Hinson for sharing their expertise and insights with us. Their knowledge was invaluable! 🤝💚We also want to extend our gratitude to Jen Anderson and Kristie Hardin from Catholic Charities, who were there to answer all the questions and provide support throughout the evening.
