Lorraine Fertuck

Ms. Lorraine Fertuck obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University in June 1968 and her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in May 2009. Lorraine is a Licensed Professional Counselor License in the State of Michigan. She also received her Professional Teaching Certification with Early Childhood Endorsement from the State of Michigan.

Lorraine is currently a Clinical Therapist with Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan where she has been employed since September 2008.
Her areas of expertise include: child and family therapy, parenting education, and early childhood education. Her work history includes: center director for a licensed and accredited child care center, coordinator of the Parent-Child Home Program, teacher at Denver Public Schools, and adjunct instructor at Madonna University. Lorraine has also facilitated groups for divorce recovery, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, children’s grief support.

Lorraine received honors as a validator for the National Association of Education of Young Children from 2003 – 2006.

Her treatment philosophy: I develop a counseling relationship where your well-being and dignity will be promoted and your best interests always upheld. We will use a humanistic approach to determine your needs and together explore your thoughts, feelings and ideas. We may look to the past and to your family background to gain insight into your current experiences. All this will be in an empathic relationship of care and concern.
