Andrea Foley

Ms. Andrea Foley, LMSW, ACSW, CAADC, obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University on May 6, 1996. Andrea received her LMSW from the State of Michigan in May 1998 and her ACSW (Academy of Certified Social Workers) credential in May 1998 Andrea reestablished her Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor Credential in December 2013. Andrea is the Director of Behavioral Health for Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan where she has been employed since September 20, 2003. Andrea was adjunct faculty at Wayne State University’s School of Social work for six years where she taught advanced graduate courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Using the DSM IV and Practice Methods in Treating Substance Abuse. Prior to CCSEM, Andrea was the Clinical Services Supervisor for Livonia Counseling Center, Hegira Programs, Inc. She also supervised co occurring programs and substance abuse programs in community mental health. Ms. Foley practiced as a clinician in a wide variety of settings including community mental health, the Henry Ford Health System, Hegira Programs, Inc. and for Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan. Her practice areas include substance use disorders in both residential and outpatient settings, adult mental health and marital counseling. Ms. Foley’s treatment philosophy is: “I help my clients see their strengths; to assist them in recognizing their own gifts and talents increases their belief in themselves and that they have the capacity to change their lives.”
